* Doing this photos was so much fun! It's always a bit strange to work with a photographer for the first time, especially for me who don't compromise, but Alba and I clicked.
About two years ago I read Patty Smith "Just Kids" (rarely good autobiography written by someone from the music world) - led me to Robert Mapplethorpe's work - led me to fall for
his seductive look his seductive work - led me to Mapplethorpe photographing Blondie - led me to Blondie and her look - lead me to this idea. I wasn't at the compatible location for this type of photos back then, but I already knew deep inside that I'm a leaver, that I have that in my bones, that I have no peace, that nothing or no one will stop me, that the right time is coming...I wasn't in NY during that unbridled period for sure, neither I'm in NY now, but London has his own eclectic, neon, licentious but witty side (London has sooo many sides), and when I discover Clink hostel, thanks to my dear roommates, the story was there.
I even dyed my hair blonde! Brave? Haha, silly, of course not. A game! Just a game!
Now back to black...back to ginger...
Part of my visual inspiration for creating this photo story:
* Big Thank you to the Clink78 hostel in London (especially for the ex-courtroom)
